Ingredients for Spice Syrup For Tea Recipe
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves, crushed
- 2 inch piece stick cinnamon, broken is pieces
- Juice of 2 lemons
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, place water and sugar. Heat to boiling point.
- Loosely tie the cloves and cinnamon together in a piece of cheesecloth.
- When sugar is dissolved, add cloves and cinnamon.
- Boil gently to 215 degrees or to a thin syrup.
- When cool, add lemon juice.
- Serve in small bowl, using 1 tablespoon syrup in each cup of tea.
