Sally Lunn Recipe 3

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup milk
• 1 egg

1. Cream the shortening with the sugar.
2. Mix and sift together the flour and baking powder and add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
3. Add the beaten egg and bake in a loaf or in muffin pans in a moderate oven (350-400 degrees F.).
4. If desired, stir in 1 cup of fresh huckleberries as an addition.
