Ingredients for Poultry Stuffing No. 3. Recipe

  • 2 cups dry bread crumbs
  • ½ cup sausage meat, chopped finely
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespon onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Dash nutmeg
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Soak the bread in cold water until soft; press out all the water.
  2. Add the sausage meat, seasonings, melted butter and eggs well, mixing well.
  3. Use to stuff bird and cook as directed.
  4. Optionally, you may bake the stuffing in a casserole dish at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until heated through.
