Ingredients for Pork And Beets Stew Recipe

  • 2½ pounds pork, leg or shoulder, cut in square pieces
  • 4 onions, peeled, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 8 beets, peeled, sliced
  • Water
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry the meat and the onions in the butter.
  2. Empty the contents of frying pan into a kettle.
  3. Sprinkle with flour.
  4. Add the beets and seasonings.
  5. Cover with water.
  6. Cover kettle.
  7. Let cook for about 50 minutes.
  8. Then serve.
