Ingredients for Plain Omelet Recipe 5

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of fat or butter or butter substitute

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs with a fork and add salt and pepper.
  2. Beat until the eggs can pass through the fork without sticking to it.
  3. Melt the butter in a hot frying pan.
  4. Pour in the eggs.
  5. Stir with a fork while shaking the pan until the eggs start to set. Carefully lift the edges of the omelet to allow the uncooked portion to run underneath.
  6. When the eggs are set, fold over and serve.
  7. Additional food material can be added to the eggs before beating, or placed in the center of the omelet before folding.
  8. In the latter case, the food material should be heated first.
