Ingredients for Lemon Filling
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Grated rind of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon butter, sweet
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Mix sugar, water, lemon juice, beaten egg, grated lemon rind and butter with the flour until smooth.
- Cook on fire until boiling, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
- Let cool off and spread between layers of cake.
