Ingredients for Lemon Filling
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- Grated rind of 1 large lemon
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons vegetable butter
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Sift the sugar and the flour together, beat the egg slightly, mix all the ingredients, and cook in a double boiler until thickened, stirring often.
- Let cool and spread between layers of cake.
