Ingredients for Is this meatloaf ? Recipe
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Italian flavored bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Canned tomato sauce
  • Peppers
  • 2 cans, canned sliced tomatoes or canned stewed tomatoes

Instructions
  1. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper and one can of tomato sauce.
  2. Chop up peppers into bite size pieces. Add to meat mixture.
  3. Mix in one can of sliced tomatoes or stewed tomatoes.
  4. Put meat mixture in small cake pan and push it down to fit.
  5. Take another can of the tomatoes (make sure this is a small can to begin with) and gradually pour over the top.
  6. Keep in mind this will be a wet meat "loaf". As you figure out the flavor you like, you will adjust the cans of tomatoes to be more or less.
  7. My husband does not believe this is meat loaf. It is too different. This is why I call it what I do.
