Ingredients for Hamburger Rice Recipe

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 2 cups uncooked instant rice

Instructions

  1. Slice the carrot into 1/4 inch pieces and chop the celery.
  2. Brown the beef and drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the water, vegetables and dry soup mix.
  4. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to simmer
  5. Cover and continue to simmer for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the rice and return to a boil.
  7. Remove from the heat and let stand for five minutes. Meal is ready when rice is tender.
