Ingredients for Goldenrod Eggs Recipe
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 2 cups of milk (the creamier the milk the creamier the sauce)
- 4-8 hard-boiled eggs
Instructions
- Make a mixture of the butter, flour, and salt over heat and stir until bubbling.
- Remove from heat and add milk while continuing to stir. Return to heat.
- Chop the cooked eggs and add them to the sauce. Using an apple corer or slicer is very helpful and quick here
- Stir gently while heating through. When well blended, pour over buttered toast or toasted english muffins and serve hot.
