Ingredients for French Toast Sticks

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices bread, each cut, lengthwise, into 4 pieces
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs. Stir in vanilla and milk, mixing until well combined.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over low heat until melted.
  3. Dip bread slices in egg mixture, coating both sides well.
  4. Cook the bread until desired browness.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  6. If desired, serve with syrup.
