Ingredients for Fairy Gingerbread Recipe

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 7/8 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons ginger

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, and milk very slowly.
  2. Mix and sift flour and ginger. Combine mixtures.
  3. Spread very thinly with a broad, long-bladed knife on a buttered, inverted dripping-pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Turn pan frequently during baking so it bakes evenly.
  5. Cut in squares before removing from pan.
