Ingredients for Ducklings With Mashed Turnips

  • 2 ducklings
  • 6 turnips, peeled, sliced
  • ½ cup milk, scalded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Put ducklings in a roasting pan.
  2. Roast in moderate oven for about 30 minutes.
  3. While the ducklings are cooking, boil the turnips in salted water for 25 minutes.
  4. Drain off water.
  5. Mash with a potato masher.
  6. Add gradually the milk, butter and seasonings.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Serve on the side with the ducklings.
