- 2 cups corn meal

- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Sift meal, salt, and sugar together.
- Pour boiling water over the dry ingredients and let stand fifteen minutes until perfectly cool.
- Drop spoonfuls in hot fat and fry to a delicate brown.
- A little sweet milk may be added to water if desired.
