Ingredients for Creamed Mushroom Toast Recipe
- Mushrooms, sliced
- Milk
- 1/4 cup of sweet butter
- 1/2 cup rich cream
- toast
Instructions
- Stew the mushrooms in a little milk; add butter.
- Boil until tender.
- Add cream, and boil until of a thick, creamy consistency.
- The beaten yolk of an egg can be stirred in to thicken, or flour and milk as in oyster toast.
- Serve on hot buttered toast.
