Ingredients for Cottage Cup Cakes Recipe

  • ¼ cup corn oil
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/3 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1-½ cups flour
  • ¼ cup Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream together the corn oil, sugar, eggs, and the vanilla.
  2. Add the flour, salt and baking powder sifted together, alternately with the milk.
  3. Beat until the mixture looks bubbly, transfer to muffin pans oiled with corn oil and bake in a quick oven, 375 degrees F., about 25 minutes.
  4. Serve with fruit sauce or caramel sauce.
