Ingredients for Codfish With Celery And Carrots

  • 2½ pounds codfish, cut in 4 pieces
  • ½ stalk celery, washed, chopped fine
  • 2 carrots, peeled, chopped fine
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups water
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the celery and carrots together in the water with the seasonings and the butter for about 10 minutes.
  2. Put slices of codfish in a small baking pan.
  3. Pour over them the carrot and celery mixture.
  4. Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes.
  5. Then serve.
