Ingredients for Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Recipe
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips, semisweet
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- Into a large bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
- Add the chocolate to the butter until it's smooth. Pour into a bowl.
- Blend in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Slowly add the flour and baking powder mixture
- Add the chocolate chips.
- Cover the bowl and palce in the refrigerator for 2 hours to chill, but overnight is best.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper or grease them.
- Roll the dough into 2-inch balls and roll it into the confectioners sugar.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on the sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until the tops are cracked.
