Chicken Rice Soup Recipe

Ingredients for Chicken Rice Soup Recipe
- 1 cup uncooked wild rice
- 1 cup water
- 8 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
- 2 2/3 cups milk
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 3 tablespoons dried parsley
Instructions
- Cube the cube into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare the rice per the package instruction. Set aside.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and add the chicken, onion, celery, and carrots.
- Cook until chicken is brown and cooked through.
- In a pot, stir together the soup and milk until well incorporated.
- Add chicken mixture and remaining butter.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer and add rice.
- Continue to simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add parsley and simmer for 5 more minutes.
