Ingredients for Buckwheat Cakes Recipe
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 2 cups buckwheat flour
- 7 teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ cups milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 tablespoon shortening, melted
Instructions
- Sift all dry ingredients together.
- Add molasses, melted shortening, milk and water.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Cook on hot slightly greased griddle, flipping once.
