Baked Cake Donut Recipe

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup milk
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon shortening
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar
• 2 tablespoons hot water
• 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Blend together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
3. Mix in the milk, eggs, vanilla, and shortening until smooth.
4. Fill each cup of a greased muffin tin 2/3 with batter.
5. Bake 8 minutes.
