Apple Strudel Recipe

Ingredients for Apple Strudel Recipe
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup, 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 4 cups chopped apples
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup seeded raisins
- 1 cup currants
- 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
Instructions
- Sift flour with salt and 1 teaspoon sugar.
- Gradually add lukewarm water and knead until dough does not stick to hands.
- Roll dough as thin as possible on floured board.
- Place clean tablecloth on table, put rolled out dough on it and pull carefully with fingers to get thin as possible.
- Mix apples with 1 cup sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and currants.
- Spread over dough and spread little vegetable shortening over apples.
- Wrap dough around apples and pinch closed.
- Place strudel into greased baking pan and bake in hot oven until brown.
