Waffles Recipe 1

• 1 egg, separated
• 2 1/2 tablespoons corn oil
• 3 tablespoons corn syrup
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/3 cups flour
• 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 3 teaspoons baking powder

1. Beat the egg white stiff and the yolk until creamy.
2. To the yolk, add the corn oil, corn syrup, and milk.
3. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Beat this into the first mixture.
4. Add the egg white and continue beating until bubbly.
5. Pour into a heated waffle iron, close, and bake.
6. Serve with corn syrup or fruit syrup.
