Ingredients for Veal With Barley
- 2½ pounds veal, loin, leg or breast, cut in small square pieces
- 1 onion, peeled, sliced
- 2 cups barley, washed
- 1 carrot, peeled, sliced
- Seasonings to taste

Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a stew pan and just cover with water.
- Place cover on stew pan and cook for 35 minutes.
- From time to time add some boiling water if evaporation takes place too quickly.
- This dish must be served with very little liquid.
