Ingredients for Veal Pot-pie Recipe

Filling:

  • 3 cups cooked veal
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Crust:

  • 2 C flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 C cold milk

Instructions

  1. Pile filling ingredients loosely in a three pint pie pan.
  2. Fill to almost cover the meat with gravy, stock or water, cover and set on top of stove to heat.

Crust:

  1. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder and rub in the butter.
  2. Add the cold milk slowly, shape into a flat cake to fit the pan.
  3. Cut a hole to let the steam escape from crust.
  4. Lay crust over the boiling meat and bake about forty minutes at 350 degrees.
