Ingredients for Veal Kidneys With Mustard And Bacon

  • 2 veal kidneys, cut in halves
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped fine
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, small, peeled, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mustard powder
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the kidneys.
  2. Broil them on one side for about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from broiler.
  4. Cream the butter with the mustard, onion and seasonings.
  5. Add the bread crumbs and bacon.
  6. Spread the mixture on the uncooked side of the veal kidneys.
  7. Place the kidneys in a baking pan.
  8. Cook in moderate oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Then serve.
