Tomato Sauce Recipe 1

Ingredients for Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sliced onion
  • ½ clove of garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon pickle spice
  • 2 cups canned tomato
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • Few grains pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil

Instructions
  1. Combine the tomato, onion, garlic, corn syrup and seasonings and simmer twenty minutes.
  2. Rub through a sieve and thicken with the cornstarch creamed with the corn oil.
  3. Serve with any kind of white fish, meat or fish croquettes or with poached eggs.
