Ingredients for Tomato Cream Soup Recipe 1

  • 4 tomatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2½ cups milk, scalded
  • 1 cup water
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes, water, and seasonings in the same saucepan and let boil slowly for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Place butter in another saucepan.
  3. Melt it and then mix in the flour, stirring all the time.
  4. Add slowly the milk to make a smooth sauce.
  5. Let cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked tomatoes.
  7. Mix thoroughly and boil 2 minutes.
  8. Then serve.
