Ingredients for Tomato Broth Recipe
- 2 cups canned tomato
- 1 cup water
- ½ tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Few drops onion juice
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon celery salt
- 1 pint milk
- 1-½ tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ tablespoon corn oil

Instructions
- Stew the tomatoes, seasonings, and corn syrup ten minutes.
- Strain, but do not rub all the pulp through.
- Add the baking soda and thicken with the cornstarch creamed with the corn oil.
- Combine with the milk, heated, and serve with croutons.
