Ingredients for Tomato Marmalade Recipe 1

  • 4 quarts ripe tomatoes
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 6 lemons
  • 4 pounds granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Remove skin from the tomatoes and slice the lemons very thin, discarding the seeds.
  2. Seed the raisins.
  3. Put the ingredients into a preserving kettle in layers.
  4. Heat slowly to the boiling point, then let simmer until quite thick.
  5. Seal in jars while hot.
  6. The recipe makes about three pints.
