Supper Sandwiches Recipe

Instructions

1. Mix tongue or ham with pickles, mustard and a little pepper.
2. Heat the butter, stiring it quickly with a spoon until it forms a kind of cream.
3. Add the chopped meat and seasoning; mix thoroughly.
4. Spread a slice of the bread with the above mixture, then a slice of the meat; lay on another slice of bread, and so on, till the quantity required is prepared.
5. If cut into small shapes, these sandwiches prove very acceptable for breakfast or for evening parties.

Note: The above quantities will make enough sandwiches to fill a moderate-sized dish.
