Ingredients for Suet Pudding
- 1 cup suet chopped fine
- 1 cup sweet milk
- 2 cups seeded raisins
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup currants
- ¼ cup each citron, lemon and orange peel
- 1 teaspoon each soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
- Mix the ingredients and steam for two hours. Serve with hot or liquid sauce
- SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- Flavoring
Instructions
- Mix corn starch with a little cold water and cook until clear in the boiling water.
- Add salt.
- Beat sugar and egg together until very light, pour the hot starch on slowly, and flavoring and serve.
