Stuffed Turnips Recipe

- 6 turnips, even in size
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2-3 slices bacon
- 2 teaspoons milk
- ½ teaspoon chopped onion
- ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash, then boil turnips until tender
- Cut off turnip tops and scoop out center of each
- Chop the centers finely
- Also chop fine the bacon and onion
- Saute all the chopped ingredients along with most of the breadcrumbs in butter
- Blend in the milk.
- Scoop the mixture into the turnip shells and sprinkle the tops with remaining crumbs and a small pat of butter on each
- Bake for 10 minutes in a 400 degree oven or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
