• 2 cups flour
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1/3 cup butter
• ¾ cup milk

Instructions

1. Mix dry ingredients, sift twice, work in butter with tips of fingers, and add milk gradually.
2. Toss and roll on floured board.
3. Put in round buttered tin, and shape with back of hand to fit pan.
