Ingredients for Steamed Graham Cracker Or Cake Crumb Pudding Recipe

  • ¼ cup corn oil
  • ¾ cup corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups graham cracker or cake crumbs
  • 1-½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Pour the corn oil in a mixing bowl, add the corn syrup and egg well beaten and stir in the milk, vanilla, cornstarch and crumbs, with the baking powder and salt.
  2. Transfer to a mould rubbed with corn oil, cover closely and steam for an hour and three quarters.
  3. Serve with Lemon Sauce or Fluffy Fruit Sauce.
