Ingredients for Squash (italian) With Brown Butter Recipe

  • 4 Italian squashes, peeled, sliced
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • Flour
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the squash and dredge in flour.
  2. Put the oil and 3 tablespoons of the butter in a frying pan.
  3. When butter and oil are hot, fry quickly the Italian squash.
  4. This requires about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove squash from frying pan.
  6. Put on a platter.
  7. In another frying pan put the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter.
  8. Put on fire and cook until butter starts to brown.
  9. Then pour butter over the squash and serve.
