Ingredients for Spud nuts Recipe
- 2 envelopes yeast, dissolved
- 4 cups scalded milk, cooled
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- enough flour to make a soft dough

Instructions
- Add soaked yeast to cooled milk.
- Add sugar, eggs, margarine, salt, and potatoes; stir well.
- Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
- Let dough rise.
- Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise again.
- Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut out donuts with donut cutter.
- Let donuts rise.
- Deep fry until golden.
- While still hot, dip in glaze, or sugar.
