Spice Cake Recipe

Ingredients for Spice Cake Recipe

1¾ cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup shortening
½ cup milk
1 egg
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cloves
1 cup chopped raisins

Instructions

Beat shortening until creamy, and add sugar and beaten egg.
Add flour and baking powder sifted .together, and then spices.
Add milk and raisins, and mix well.
Bake in small greased tins in moderate oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.
