Ingredients for Spaghetti, Creamed With Cheese

  • ½ pound spaghetti
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste
  • 2 cups thin white sauce
  • (To make White Sauce: scald 1 pint of milk. Melt 1,2 or 3 tablespoons of butter, depending on desired consistency, in a saucepan. Add half a teaspoon of salt, and 1,2,or 4 tablespoons of flour, depending on desired consistency, and let cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Add the milk little by little, stirring gently until it boils. Let it boil for 3 minutes.)

Instructions

  1. Creamed With Cheese Recipe, Boil about 4 quarts of water with salt.
  2. When boiling, put the spaghetti in.
  3. Let boil for about 20 minutes.
  4. Drain off water.
  5. Mix with white sauce.
  6. Add seasonings, butter and cheese.
  7. Mix well with a fork until cheese is melted.
  8. Then serve.
  9. Make the white sauce while the spaghetti is boiling.
