Scalloped Potatoes Recipe 3

Instructions

  1. Slice pared raw potatoes thin.
  2. Put a layer of the sliced potatoes into an oiled baking pan, and sprinkle with salt and flour.
  3. Repeat the process until the pan is about three fourths full.
  4. Pour over the potatoes enough milk to cover them.
  5. Put small bits of vegetable butter on top and bake until thoroughly done.
  6. Savory Potatoes
  7. Add finely chopped onion and parsley to each layer of the foregoing scalloped potatoes, and bake the same as the above .
  8. Water may be used in place of the mil, if desired, a little more of the butter being required than when milk is used.
