Ingredients for Savory Eggs Recipe 2

  • 6 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons chopped cooked chicken, ham or tongue
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 6 rounds fried toast

Instructions

  1. Mix ham, parsley, and seasonings together, placing an equal amount into greased molds.
  2. Break into each mold one egg, taking care not to break the yolk.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and dot with vegetable shortening.
  4. Steam four or five minutes or until set.
  5. Turn out on rounds of fried toast and serve at once.
