Salmon Bisque Recipe 1

Ingredients for Salmon Bisque

  • 1-½ cups flaked, fresh, cooked or canned salmon
  • 1 small green pepper, ground
  • 1 tablespoon onion, ground
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, minced
  • 1 pint water
  • 1-½ pints milk
  • 1 cup canned tomato, strained
  • ½ tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil
  • 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Combine salmon, tomato, pepper, onion, water and parsley, simmer fifteen minutes.
  2. Add one-eighth teaspoon baking soda.
  3. Thicken with the cornstarch and corn oil blended.
  4. Add the corn syrup and seasonings and thin with the milk.
