Ingredients for Sally Lunn Recipe 4

• 2 cups of pastry flour
• 1/4 teaspoon of salt
• 1 egg with yolk or 2 egg whites
• 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup of milk
• 1/2 teaspoon of soda
• 3 tablespoons of melted butter
• 1 1/2 level teaspoons of cream of tartar

Instructions

1. Sift together the dry ingredients.
2. Add the milk to the beaten eggs and stir into the dry ingredients. Stir in the butter and turn into a buttered shallow pa.
3. Let bake about twenty minutes.
4. Cut in squares and serve hot or cold.
5. This mixture may be baked in a muffin pan.
