Ingredients for Sally Lunn
- ¼ cup Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
- 2 cups bread flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup corn syrup
- 2 eggs
- 7/8 cup milk
- ¼ cup corn oil
Instructions
- Stir the dry ingredients and stir in the milk, eggs, corn syrup and corn oil.
- Beat until bubbly, pour into a good-sized shallow pan oiled with corn oil, and bake twenty-five minutes in a moderate oven, 350 to 375 degrees F.
- Cut in squares and serve warm.
