Ingredients for Sally Lunn

  • ¼ cup Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 7/8 cup milk
  • ¼ cup corn oil

Instructions

  1. Stir the dry ingredients and stir in the milk, eggs, corn syrup and corn oil.
  2. Beat until bubbly, pour into a good-sized shallow pan oiled with corn oil, and bake twenty-five minutes in a moderate oven, 350 to 375 degrees F.
  3. Cut in squares and serve warm.
