Ingredients for Rye Rolls Recipe
- 4 cups rye flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1½ cups milk
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon shortening, melted
Instructions
- Sift together rye flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add milk and melted shortening.
- Knead lightly on floured board and shape into oblong rolls.
- Put in greased pan and allow to stand for about 15 minutes.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes
