Ingredients for Rye Rolls Recipe

  • 4 cups rye flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 6 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon shortening, melted

Instructions

  1. Sift together rye flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add milk and melted shortening.
  3. Knead lightly on floured board and shape into oblong rolls.
  4. Put in greased pan and allow to stand for about 15 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes
