Ingredients for Rye Muffins Recipe 1
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons melted vegetable shortening
- 1 cup ryemeal
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Sift flour, meal, baking powder, and salt together.
- Beat egg and sugar together, then add milk and melted vegetable shortening.
- Mix and divide into vegetable shorteninged gem pans and bake in moderate oven for twelve minutes.
- Sufficient for twelve muffins.
