Ingredients for Rice Pudding
- ½ cup rice
- 3 cups milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable shortening
- 3 eggs
- Powdered cinnamon to taste
- ¼ cup seeded raisins
- ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Wash rice and steam it in milk until thick, then allow to cool.
- Cream vegetable shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs, raisins, salt, rice, and cinnamon.
- Grease pudding dish with vegetable shortening, pour in mixture and bake one hour in moderate oven.
