Rice Dessert With Chocolate Meringue Recipe

Instructions
- Cook one-quarter of a cup of well washed rice in a double boiler with one pint of scalded milk and one-third of a teaspoon of salt.
- Add one level tablespoon of butter, one-third cup of sugar, one square of chocolate melted, half a cup of seeded raisins, and one teaspoon of vanilla.
- Cut and fold into the mixture the stiffly whipped whites of two eggs and half a cup of whipped cream.
- Pour into a buttered pudding dish and cover with a meringue made with the whipped whites of three eggs, and six tablespoons each of powdered sugar and grated chocolate.
- Brown in a moderate oven.
