Ingredients for Rhubarb Pie Recipe 1 1

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 3 cups rhubarb
  • 1 tablespoon sweet butter, cut into small pieces
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pie crust

Instructions

  1. Wash rhubarb, cut off root and top ends, peel and cut into small pieces.
  2. Line pie plate with pie crust and fill with rhubarb.
  3. Sprinkle with cornstarch, sugar and salt.
  4. Place the butter pieces on top.
  5. Wet edges of the under crust with water, cover with the upper crust and press edges slightly together.
  6. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 35 minutes.
