Reuben Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients for Reuben Sandwich Recipe

  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 lb corned beef brisket, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 lb sauerkraut, squeezing out excess moisture
  • 1/4 cup Russian Dressing

Instructions

  1. Spread butter onto one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Flip foru slices of bread over so the non-buttered side is up.
  3. Evenly layer on one slice of Swiss cheese, several slices of corned beef, and sauerkraut.
  4. Spoon on one tablespoon of dressing onto each sandwich.
  5. Top with remaining corned beef and Swiss cheese and place other slice of bread on top with butter facing up.
  6. Heat up a frying pan and place the sandwiches in the pan.
  7. Cover evenly on both sides, flipping occasionally.
